Rao Birender Singh was born on 20 February 1921 and hails from royal family of Rewari. Rao was adopted by King of Rewari, Rao Balbir Singh. He served as minister in united Punjab state and then chief minister in Haryana. He also served as second speaker in Haryana Legislature.
